Environmental Benefits

The most important benefits our machines bring to the environment are:

1. After a short time you will be able to reduce your worming programmes down dramatically. Most parasites are ingested by the horse whilst grazing but because our machines vacuum up all the droppings this breaks the worm cycle. For the health of your horse it may still be necessary to worm for Bots (injested from the horses legs) and send regular faece samples into the laboratory for testing, to make sure your horse remains free from parasite infestation. We have had tests done regularly on all our horses and for the last 6 years, since using the machines, results have all come back with "no eggs found".

2. The machines mulch the droppings which drastically reduces the quantities produced into the hopper by 35 per cent to 50 per cent. Much more than this, for successful composting a high level of nitrogen is required. This is found in droppings that are not mixed with bedding (straw, shavings etc). Therefore, using our machines produces better quality compost and in less time than previously.
